Check your Seattle Bags (or any other bag, for that matter) to be sure the handles are well sealed.

Making products to sell is fraught with opportunities for disaster.
We have navigated all of them over the years - flawed fabric, bad zippers, zipper pulls, mis-cut shapes, skipped stitching, and now once again, unsealed handles. ACK!!
We made a batch of new Seattle Bags picked them up from our stitchers the day before the show, and sold 50-60 at the NW Flower & Garden Show.
After the show I heard from 3 people that the smaller handles on top had pulled out. That means they all might pull out.
If this happens to yours, we will send you a replacement, OR you can fix it yourself.
Here’s how:
I did a deep dive with my trusty stitching partner, Hendra Aksama in South Seattle. He cuts the webbing on a machine that heat seals the ends of the handles by cutting it with a heated chopping blade.
The machine that cuts the webbing and heat seals the ends of the handles of a Splash Fabric bag
It has gotten off kilter and is only heat sealing one side of the webbing. The other side could unravel and pull out even though we top stitch it twice.
Ends of the webbing unraveling.
Until he gets the machine fixed, he will heat seal the second ends by hand. Meanwhile, check the insides of your bags to see if any ends need heat sealing.

Use a lighter, a candle or your stove to heat seal them or reach out to us. We are here for you!

As part of the ethos of our company, we don’t believe in planned obsolescence. We want our products to last.
We purchase our zippers, webbing and notions from a local company that sells to the US Military. As part of their contracts, the ingredients must be made in the USA. Therefore, our nylon webbing and findings are not only sturdy, but made in the US.
We like that.
Back in the day, there was a large part of the original REI Co-Op here in Seattle where you could go in to find a replacement for any broken part to fix it yourself, or have something fixed by them.
We are like that.
We will replace or fix any item you purchase that arrives damaged or breaks in the course of normal wear & tear.
Let us know what you find.
Send us a picture of you fixing yours and we’ll send you a free gift!
